EFFECT OF BLENDED LEARNING ON ACHIEVEMENT IN MATHEMATICS IN RELATION TO LEARNING STYLES AND INTELLIGENCE
Author: Neetu Makkar

ABSTRACT
This study investigates the effect of blended learning on Grade IX students' mathematics
achievement, considering their learning styles and intelligence levels. Using a 2×4×2 factorial
design, students from two CBSE schools were grouped based on instructional strategy
(blended vs. conventional), learning style—classified by Kolb’s Learning Style Inventory
(2007)—and intelligence level—measured by Ahuja’s General Group Test of Intelligence
(2005). Analysis via descriptive statistics, three-way ANOVA revealed that blended learning
significantly enhanced math achievement. Students with higher intelligence scored better,
while learning style alone had no significant main effect. However, interactions between
instructional strategy and both learning style and intelligence were significant. No three-way
interaction was observed. The findings highlight that blended learning boosts performance,
with cognitive ability more influential than learning style.

ABSTRACT
This study explores the relationship between metacognition, achievement motivation, and
academic achievement among senior secondary school students. Grounded in educational
psychology, the research investigates how student’s motivation to achieve and their academic
performance relate to their ability to regulate and reflect on their learning processes. Using a
quantitative approach, data were collected from a sample of 600 students through
standardized instruments measuring metacognitive awareness, achievement motivation, and
academic achievement scores. The results revealed a significant positive correlation between
metacognition and achievement motivation, as well as between metacognition and academic
achievement. Furthermore, students with higher levels of motivation and academic success
demonstrated notably stronger metacognitive abilities. ANOVA results also indicated
significant main and interaction effects of achievement motivation and academic achievement

THE MEDIATING ROLE OF METACOGNITIVE LEARNING STRATEGIES IN COMMERCE ACHIEVEMENT
Author: Ram Mehar & Paramjit Singh

ABSTRACT
Commerce education, encompassing disciplines like accounting, finance, economics, and
business management, demands complex cognitive processing and adaptive learning. While
cognitive abilities are fundamental, emerging research highlights the critical role of metacognitive learning strategies the awareness and regulation of one's own thinking processes in
determining academic achievement within this domain. This article synthesizes current
empirical evidence to investigate the mediating role of meta-cognitive learning strategies in
the relationship between learner characteristics e.g., prior knowledge, motivation selfefficacy and environmental factors (e.g., teaching methods, curriculum design) on the one
hand, and ultimate commerce achievement on the other. The review draws on prominent
theoretical frameworks, including Flavell's meta-cognitive theory and Zimmerman's model of
self-regulated learning, to conceptualize meta-cognitive learning strategies as encompassing

CORRELATION BETWEEN HEALTH CARE BELIEFS AND HEALTH SEEKING BEHAVIOUR: AN EMPIRICAL STUDY
Author: Tajinder Kaur

ABSTRACT
A person's health beliefs consist of their perceptions of what constitutes good health, the
aetiology of their ailments, and treatment ideas. In folklore, both secular and nonsecular
beliefs about health are prevalent, the origins of which date back to earlier generations. An
attempt has been made to delve into the health beliefs of rural residents in the Amritsar
district. The study included 240 respondents, with an equal number of natural folk medicine
users (120) and magico-religious folk medicine users (120). The snowball sampling
technique was used for the purpose of data collection. A semi-structured interview schedule
was prepared and for the analysis of the data, statistical techniques such as percentages and
chi square were used. The study discovered that both natural and supernatural health beliefs
are prevalent. Users of magico-religious folk medicine exhibited a higher degree of
superstition in comparison to their counterparts, who tend to place more emp

स्व-प्रभावकारिता, धैर्यशीलता और शैक्षिक उपलब्धिः शैक्षिक मनोविज्ञान का एक दृष्टिकोण
Author: Kumari Sarita

Author: Kumud Kumari

PSYCHOLOGICAL IMPRINTS OF INDIA-PAKISTAN 2025 CONFLICT: A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF COMMUNITY LIVING NEAR CONFLICT ZONES VS. COMMUNITY LIVING AWAY FROM CONFLICT ZONES
Author: Garima Chopra

ABSTRACT
The brief but intense conflict between India–Pakistan in May of 2025 has left a profound
socio-psychological impact on the civilians of India. The effects of this impact were
witnessed across communities living in Punjab to residents in cities like Mumbai. The
persistent sound of air-raid sirens, visible military mobilisations, and blackouts that engulfed
night and transformed busy streets into corridors of silence have driven the civilians into
unexplored emotional zones. Communities along the Line of Control are having to live with a
new level of anxiety, and those in inland areas have to contend with the tangled media reports
that trigger another sort of fear. This study explores the psychological aftermath of the
conflict by focusing on six core psychological domains: Emotional Distress, Perceived
Threat, Cognitive Influence, Sense of Safety and Control, Social Trust and Community
Affinity, and Coping and Resilience Mechanisms. To systematically assess these dim

IMPROVING BASIC SCIENTIFIC UNDERSTANDING AMONG MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS THROUGH INTERACTIVE PRACTICE
Author: Pankaj Kumar

ABSTRACT
Developing scientific understanding during the middle school years is essential for nurturing
curiosity, reasoning, and problem-solving skills that form the foundation of lifelong learning.
However, in many Indian classrooms, science education remains heavily content-oriented and
teacher-centered, limiting students’ conceptual comprehension and engagement. This study
aimed to assess the effectiveness of interactive practice-based learning in improving students’
basic scientific understanding at the middle school level. A quasi-experimental action
research design was employed involving 120 students from two government-aided schools in
Darbhanga district, Bihar. The intervention spanned eight weeks, during which students
participated in interactive science sessions incorporating hands-on experiments, visual
demonstrations, guided questioning, and peer discussion. Pre-test and post-test tools were
developed to measure students’ conceptual understanding across domains s

Author: Nidhi Chadha

ABSTRACT
The ensuing chapter addresses a very pertinent and sensitive issue viewed from a
psychologist’s lens that is vividly seen as quite a rampant phenomenon. The global status
report presented by World Health Statistics (2024) on alcohol and health and treatment of
substance use disorders highlights that in 2019 alone, alcohol caused 2.6 million deaths
worldwide, and psychoactive drugs accounted for nearly 600 000 deaths. As such, the impact
of substance use on health and development is recognized in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable
Development, through Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) health target 3.5, which calls
for the strengthened prevention of substance use and treatment of substance use disorders. In
response to this growing concern, the author intends to design a tripartite model- 3P Model—
Predict, Prevent, and Protect which aspires to provide a holistic, proactive, and culturally
relevant response to the escalating challenge of adolescent substance use in In

INTRODUCTION:
In the field of education, stress is an important factor that is extensively researched. Still, it is
important to understand the different elements causing this stress, particularly the
socioeconomic and environmental conditions in which these teachers work. The difficulties
faced by female teachers could be made harder by elements like local culture, socioeconomic
standing, and institutional support in India, where disparities in socioeconomic status are vast
and areas differ greatly in terms of development and resources. In terms of their surroundings
and socioeconomic status, this study intends to investigate the stress that female higher
secondary school teachers in West Bengal suffer from, with a focus on the relationship
between stress and their feelings of security and insecurity. By understanding the ways in

ABSTRACT
Sustainable living has become a vital educational and societal goal in the 21st century, driven
by environmental degradation, overconsumption, and climate change that threaten global
health. Simultaneously, mindfulness has gained recognition as a practice that enhances
awareness, intentionality, and psychological resilience. Recent researches suggest that
mindfulness can enhance ecological awareness, reduce materialism, and promote sustainable
decision-making. In India, the National Education Policy (NEP, 2020) emphasises integrating
sustainability and values into teacher education, aiming to prepare future teachers as role
models for sustainable communities. However, there is scarcity of researches on mindfulness
supporting sustainable living among commerce-focused teacher trainees. This study
qualitatively examined how mindfulness practices shape sustainable attitudes, behaviours,

THE ROLE OF LAW WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO STRENGTHENING GOVERNMENT POLICY
Author: Ranganathaiah C.B

ABSTRACT:
1 Law and policy are two interconnected components of governance that shape the quality,
direction, and effectiveness of government actions. Government policies show the vision,
priorities, and strategies of the state. Laws provide the necessary authority and structure to
implement those policies. This paper explores the complex relationship between law and
government policy, focusing on how legal frameworks support, implement, and maintain
policy goals in India.
The study begins by defining the difference between policy, which acts as a guiding
framework, and law, which is a binding set of rules enforced by the state. It then emphasizes
the key role of law in turning aspirational policies into enforceable obligations. This ensures
accountability, transparency, and consistency in governance. By referencing constitutional
provisions, statutory laws, and landmark court decisions, the paper shows how law
strengthens government policies across various areas, such as e

Author: Rekha. M S

ABSTRACT
Social media use among college students has surged globally, raising concerns about its
impact on mental health. Instagram, one of the most popular platforms, can become
―addictive‖ for some users – characterized by excessive use and difficulty in disengaging.
This study examines Instagram addiction and its relationship with mental health (anxiety,
depression, self-esteem) among undergraduate students in Mandya district, Karnataka. We
pay special attention to gender differences, analyzing data from 400 students (200 females,
200 males). A cross-sectional survey design was employed. Participants completed the Test
for Instagram Addiction (TIA), Mental health was assessed using standard scales: the Beck
Anxiety Inventory (BAI) for anxiety, Beck Depression Inventory-II (BDI-II) for depression,
and Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES) for self-esteem. SPSS 28 was used for analysis.

THE ROLE OF LABOUR LAW WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO COLLABORATING WITH INDUSTRIES
Author: Chetana S.B

ABSTRACT:
1Labour law has always been central to industrial relations. It protects workers’ rights and
provides a way to regulate industrial practices. Its dual role of ensuring social justice and
supporting economic growth makes it essential in modern economies where industries are
always changing. This article looks at how labour law helps industries and workers work
together, focusing on the Indian legal framework.
The study follows the historical development of labour law, from its colonial roots to the
ongoing consolidation of laws under the Labour Codes of 2020. It examines how labour law
manages conflicting interests. On one side, it protects workers’ rights related to wages,
safety, and social security. On the other side, it allows industries to pursue efficiency,
competitiveness, and stability. The article analyzes methods like collective bargaining,
conciliation, arbitration, and judicial intervention to show their role in maintaining industrial
peace and stabilit

PERCEPTION AND APPLICATION OF COLOUR IN MARKETING: A REVIEW OF AVAILABLE LITERATURE
Author: Muskan Kaur

ABSTRACT
Colour is one of the most influential non-verbal elements in marketing, shaping consumer
perception, emotion, and decision-making. This study reviews available literature to
understand how colour is perceived and applied in marketing across global and Indian
contexts. The findings reveal that colour not only enhances brand recognition and emotional
engagement but also influences trust, excitement, and purchase intent. However, cultural
variations lead to differing interpretations of the same hues, making localisation crucial for
effective branding. Warm colours such as red and yellow stimulate energy and attention,
while cool tones like blue and green evoke trust and calmness. Indian brands often integrate
vibrant colours that align with cultural values of celebration and prosperity. The study
concludes that successful marketing strategies require a balanced integration of psychological
understanding and cultural awareness. This review highlights the need for more c

A STUDY ON EMOTIONAL MEMORY BIAS: THE DOMINANCE OF NEGATIVE EXPERIENCES OVER POSITIVE ONES
Author: Sifat Kaur

ABSTRACT
This study explores why negative experiences are remembered more strongly than positive
ones among students. Using a questionnaire-based survey of 120 respondents, the research
examined patterns of emotional recall, rumination, and academic impact. Results show that
negative memories are more vivid, rehearsed more often, and influence attention and mood
more than positive experiences. Females and older adolescents showed stronger negative
memory bias. The findings support psychological theories such as negativity bias and
rumination, suggesting that painful events are encoded more deeply. The study highlights the
need for better emotional regulation and positive reinforcement to reduce the impact of
negative recall on student well-being.

SOCIO-ECONOMIC AND GENDER DYNAMICS IN HOME ENVIRONMENT AND THEIR IMPACT ON ACADEMIC SUCCESS
Author: Jyoti Kumari

ABSTRACT
This research paper delineates the socio-economic and gender dynamics within the home
environment and their profound implications for academic success among children and
adolescents. Anchored in ecological systems theory and social cognitive frameworks, the
analysis integrates findings from meta-analyses, longitudinal cohorts, and cross-cultural
surveys to explicate how low socio-economic status (SES) constrains home learning
environments (HLEs) through resource scarcity and stress, disproportionately affecting girls
in patriarchal contexts, while boys may benefit from differential parental investments.
Empirical evidence reveals that authoritative parenting and enriched HLEs mediate SES
effects (β = 0.25–0.35), with gender moderating outcomes: girls exhibit stronger resilience
via emotional support (r = 0.30), yet face amplified gaps in STEM domains under low-SES
conditions (d = 0.45). A comparative table elucidates effect sizes across SES-gender
intersections, hi

COPING STRATEGIES ACROSS GENDER AND RESIDENTIAL LOCALE AMONG INDIAN YOUTH: URBAN MALE, URBAN FEMALE, RURAL MALE, AND RURAL FEMALE COMPARISONS
Author: Deepak Kumar

Indian youth experience growing psychological stress due to academic pressure, employment uncertainty, digital saturation, and changing social expectations. Coping strategies play a crucial role in moderating the impact of stress, yet limited Indian research has examined coping through the combined lens of gender and residential locale. This study compares coping strategies among four groups of Indian youth – urban males, urban females, rural males, and rural females – using a cross-sectional design. A sample of 400 participants (100 per subgroup), aged 18–24 years, completed the Brief COPE Inventory and the Perceived Stress Scale. Data were analysed using two-way ANOVA and correlation techniques. Results indicate that urban females report higher approach-orientated and social support coping, rural males rely more on avoidance coping, and rural females demonstrate stronger religious/meaning-focused coping. Avoidance coping is positively associated with perceived stress, whereas approac

Author: Gaurvi Sharma, Prabhleen Kaur (RECE), Karamjit Kaur

In the modern era, the integration of digital technologies into daily life has transformed how children learn, play, communicate, and relate within the family. As educational psychologists seek to understand the influences on children’s developmental trajectories, the role of technology in both individual and familial contexts has emerged as a critical topic. This paper focuses on how technology affects child development—cognitively, socially, emotionally, and behaviourally—and how it influences family dynamics, including parent–child interaction, communication patterns, and the family climate. This paper also focuses on synthesis of theoretical perspectives, cross-cultural findings, developmental neuroscience, educational implications, and sociotechnical frameworks to provide a multidimensional analysis.

REVIVING TRADITIONAL INDIAN INDUSTRIES (TEXTILES, HANDICRAFTS, METALLURGY) THROUGH MARKETING INNOVATION
Author: Venus Malik

Traditional Indian industries such as textiles, handicrafts, and metallurgy are deeply embedded in India’s cultural fabric and economic history. For centuries, these industries positioned India as a global leader in craft production, artistic excellence, and international trade networks. However, their gradual decline began during the colonial period due to systematic exploitation, deindustrialization, and the influx of machine-made goods. In the post-independence era, rapid mechanization, changing consumer preferences, and intense global competition further marginalized traditional artisans and craft-based enterprises.
In the 21st century, however, renewed opportunities have emerged for the revival of traditional Indian industries through marketing innovation. The integration of digital platforms, e-commerce, social media marketing, storytelling, heritage branding, sustainable positioning, and global collaborations has opened new markets and enhanced consumer awareness of indigenous

CONTRIBUTION OF CHRISTIAN MISSIONARIES IN 19TH CENTURY DURING PRINCELY MYSORE
Author: V. Suvarna, Rachaiah

The British rule facilitated Christian and missionary activity indirectly in a host of ways, and directly through the sometimes sympathetic intervention of colonial officials. Yet it was one of the peculiarities of the Raj that in its official capacity the British Indian government resolutely refused to champion when the East India company went from being a trading monopoly to also becoming ruler over a large and growing territory, it pronounced a policy of religious neutrality and social noninterference, it sought the obedience of its subjects, but not any transformation in their beliefs or practices. After the mutiny, when the British parliament took over direct administration of India, the Queen’s Proclamation assured her subjects that their faiths would continue to be respected. As long as her subjects paid and obeyed, those subj ects could profess whatever they chose, even the civil law under which they were administered was for a long time Hindu and Muslim law, as interpreted by

EFFECTIVE INTERVENTIONS TO ENHANCE THE EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE IN ADOLESCENTS
Author: Prashant Dnyanoba Landge, Monika Abrol

Emotional intelligence (EI), defined as the ability to recognize, understand, and manage one’s own emotions and those of others, plays a critical role in adolescent development, influencing social skills, academic performance, mental health, and overall well-being. Adolescence, characterized by rapid cognitive, emotional, and social changes, represents a crucial period for fostering emotional competencies. This review aims to examine effective intervention strategies designed to enhance EI in adolescents by synthesizing empirical studies conducted over the past decade. A systematic literature search was conducted across databases including PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, ERIC, and PsycINFO, using keywords such as “emotional intelligence,” “adolescents,” “intervention,” “training program,” “social-emotional learning,” and “mindfulness.” Studies were included if they targeted adolescents aged 12–18, implemented EI-focused interventions, and reported measurable outcomes. Key findings indi
