ABSTRACT
Healthcare accessibility and health-seeking behaviour are important sociological indicators of rural well-being, as economic, geographical and institutional factors can influence the timely utilisation of healthcare services. The present study examines health-seeking behaviour and accessibility of healthcare among rural households in Chamarajanagar District. The study adopted a descriptive and analytical cross-sectional research design and used both primary and secondary data. Primary data were collected from 50 rural households using a structured interview schedule covering healthcare accessibility, healthcare preferences, affordability, health insurance, awareness and utilisation of government health schemes, treatment-seeking delays, perceived quality and major healthcare problems. Secondary data were obtained from government reports, health statistics, NFHS publications, Census-related sources, books and research journals. The collected data were analysed using frequency
