ABSTRACT
Rapid urbanization, industrialization, and population growth have significantly increased the generation of solid waste worldwide, posing serious threats to environmental sustainability. Inefficient waste management practices lead to land degradation, water and air pollution, and adverse health effects. This research paper explores the concept of waste management, its importance in achieving environmental sustainability, current challenges, and effective strategies such as the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), circular economy, and technological innovations. The paper also highlights the role of governments, industries, and individuals in building a sustainable future.
