ABSTRACT
Tourism plays a vital role in promoting regional economic development by generating employment, supporting local businesses, and enhancing cultural exchange. Mysuru, one of Karnataka's premier tourism destinations, attracts a large number of domestic and international tourists because of its rich heritage, historical monuments, religious centres, wildlife attractions, and cultural festivals. This study examines the socio-economic characteristics, travel behaviour, expenditure patterns, preferences, and satisfaction levels of tourists visiting Mysuru District. Primary data were collected from 320 tourists using a purposive sampling technique across five major tourist destinations, namely Mysore Palace, Chamundi Hills, Mysore Zoo, St. Philomena's Cathedral, and other important tourist attractions. Descriptive statistical techniques were employed to analyse the data.
