ABSTRACT
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming governance systems and public policy frameworks across the globe. In India, AI has been progressively integrated into governance structures to enhance administrative efficiency, transparency, and the accessibility of public services. Government-led initiatives such as Digital India and AI-enabled policy platforms have significantly augmented decision-making processes and service delivery mechanisms. However, the accelerating dependence on AI also introduces critical ethical, political, and socio-economic concerns, including algorithmic bias, deficits in transparency, risks to data privacy, and the systematic exclusion of marginalised communities from the benefits of digital governance.
