This study was undertaken to understand the mental health of college students and also to examine the role of social media in influencing mental health. With the influx of internet services for the common man, the use of social media coverage has enormously widened. Therefore, several researchers have studied the impact of social media and its applications on various aspects of our mental and physical health. This study was undertaken on 200 college students, comprising 101 male and 99 female students. A schedule was prepared containing the following tools for the data collection: a. Mental Health Scale developed by Sushma Telesara & Akhtar Bano in 2017. b. Social Networking Addiction Scale developed by Shahnawaz, Ganguli and Zou (2013).
